Collage 2

This is my second collage, that I am also very happy about :)
This one took alot more time and effort then my previous one. I extracted the city from the web, as well as the space back ground, and joined them together. I then transfered ufo's into my work to make it seem like space is taking over earth! haha, I had a little fun with this one :)

Collage 1

This is my first Collage, and I'm pretty wrapped about it! All this new learning can be pretty exciting at times :) And also because, Photo shop absolutely repel's me!
So for this collage, I extracted the back ground just of the internet, then I embedded the butterflies and the fairy. Not much! but I'm still excited about it! :)

I actually found out about this artist through deviant art, and was very intrigued by the style and technique that the artist possessed. As I continued through 'turdvanas' deviant art, I found out that the artist also maintained a tumblr, which I also use. So I started following, so I could keep up to date with the artists work. Turdvana never disappoints me :)

Again, these are artworks that come from a more personal level. Even after completing these pieces, I still cant get the hold of water colour paint :(
I guess its just not for me..

As many young teenagers, I too had problems in my youth. These paintings where heavily inspired by that time. These 3 peices are painted with Arcrylic paint, which was the first time I every actually accomplished an entire painting, let alone 3! I cherish these paintings, as they supported me, and even now I still look back on them and remember how much emotion they helped me release. It was a large part of my life at the time, and It helps remind me of how far I've come :)

Final Art Work for year 12, 2/2

This is my second peice that was completed throughout year 12. I sort of had to really rush this one, And wasn't as inlove with this one as my first artwork, because of all the circles!!
But I am quite pleased with the outcome. I love the psycadelic feel in artworks, so I embed that into my work also.
Both artworks are based on the theme 'Music', and they just depict how Revolutionary music is in my world. I've used quite a large sum of symbolism throughout, such as the numerous legs and arms which was inspired by leonardo da vinci, it represents all coming as one when a group of people listen to the same style of music etc.

My Final Piece for year 12, 1/2

There are only aspects of this artwork that I actually really like, But I can't help but love the actual artwork itself. Considering how long I spent dedicated to this piece, and also, it was the first time I had ever used oil paint. It was a really fun learning experience :)

Introduction

I'm a first year student at NMIT, fresh out of year 12. And as mentioned in my 'about me', I'm studying a Diploma of Visual Art. Its currently my second term, and I am thoroughly enjoying studying the arts. Next year, I intent on majoring in painting, as that is my selected media. I'm all new to using blog spot, so it might take me a while to grasp the concept of the site. I will be uploading scans of my work that I have completed over the past couple of years, and as well as posting favorite art/artists.
